Todd A. Olson, PhD

Olson, vice president for student affairs at Georgetown University, has spent 29 years in the field of higher education. During his 13 years at Georgetown, he has led programmatic planning for new facilities, developed innovative programs to enrich student well-being, acted as a senior negotiator in university-community planning agreements, and taught undergraduate and graduate courses. Olson previously served the University of Denver for 16 years in residential life and student affairs, ultimately serving as associate vice provost for campus life.

Olson holds a bachelor of arts in sociology from Morris as well as a master of science in education from the University of Kansas and a doctor of philosophy in higher education and adult studies from the University of Denver. He serves on the national Mission and Identity Advisory Board for the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities and is involved with the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators and the Jesuit Association of Student Personnel Administrators.
